We have planted some Kentucky Wonder pole beans. The vines are now between 4 - 5 feet high. However, the plants are not producing any beans. We fertilize regularly with fish emulsion and the plants appear to be green enough and healthy. What are we doing wrong? Everything else in our garden in producing wonderfully.

What a dilema! If your beans are planted in a sunny location and you're watering regularly, they should blossom. Perhaps you've overfertilized. If given too much nitrogen the plants will grow luxuriantly, but will fail to bloom. Hold off on the fish emulsion and see if that doesn't help matters along.
