The Q&A Archives: planting seeds

Question: I just got lupine, verbena & morning glory seed. My qst is can I sow this seed now in mid july, if so will they grow and bloom?

Answer: It's a little late to be sowing seeds for flowers this summer but you have an extended season there in San Ramon, so I'd so the seeds of the lupine and the verbena now. Save the morning glory seeds for sowing next spring. They grow better in cooler weather. Best wishes with your garden.
