| have some tomato plants which are suffering from stunted growing and spiny stems. I believe it is a problem with the soil. Considering getting some horse manure to help with the situation. Does that seem adequate? |
| Manure applied during mid summer will provide some nutrients to the soil but for a real improvement, plan on digging the manure into the soil at the end of the season to help enrich your soil. Next spring you can add 3-4 inches of compost or manure and dig it into the soil prior to planting. This will improve the soil and help next year's plants thrive. Best wishes with your tomatoes! |
