I am looking for a plant list, shrubs and trees that will grow in heavy clay soil. I am in coastal South Carolina.

Although the following publication is dedicated to water conservation, it is published by Clemson extension service and has a comprehensive list of trees, shrubs and perennials suitable for your clay soils and weather conditions:
