Need shrubs to mask 2 outside A/C units. Full AM sun, some heat from A/C. Need to eventually grow to 4' to 6' tall. Knockout roses?

Knock Out roses are a good choice. The dwarf yaupon holly, dwarf Burford holly and dwarf nandina are all heat-tolerant, dwarf evergreen shrubs. (by dwarf I mean under 6' tall). All are adapted to sun or partial shade. The dwarf yaupon tolerates wet or dry sites. The dwarf Burford has dark, glossy green leaves. Dwarf nandinas usually get red-orange fall color. Best wishes with your landscape.
