| i planted 2 cherry trees last fall. this year they bloomed beautifully with leaves and 1 tree has several cherries on it. but now my trees have a fungus and i want to know if there is an organic means of treating them as i have a dog who shares the yard with them. also the other day i discovered that 1 tree had some kind of beetles on the leafs. 1 tree is a stella and the other is a bing. HELP! |
| Without knowing what fungus is attacking your tree it's difficult to make suggestions. A wettable sulfur or copper based fungicide is the most organic control I can think of. Some insect damage should be okay for your tree but if you want to control insects as well as diseases you might try a neem oil based product such as Bio Neem instead of the sulfur or copper based fungicides. Neem oil has some residual effect and will control most beetles. Best wishes with your trees! |
