Willithurt to thin some of the leaves from the zuchini? I seem to have an abundance

I'd leave the foliage alone. If you cut the leaves off, the plants will ooze sap which could attract insect pests. And, the leaves help shade the vines and developing fruit from sunscald. I'd just leave the plants alone to avoid future problems.
