| I think my citrus trees (dwarf) are dying. The branches are turning brown. There are blooms and fruit on one and minimal leaves. What am I doing wrong. They are on the patio. My other one in-ground, leaves are burnt and fruit is turning yellow. |
| The summer heat may be taking a toll on your citrus trees. It is not unusual for some leaves to become burned by hot summer sun. These leaves are usually replaced by healthy new leaves when growth resumes in the fall. As long as you keep the soil moist by watering deeply once or twice a week, your citrus trees should be able to tolerate the summer weather. If you haven't fed your trees, you can apply a fertilizer formulated for citrus trees (in amounts as suggested on the label) which should help the leaves green up. When growth begins this fall and winter, prune off the dead branches and pull of the sunscalded leaves. Hope your trees make it! |
