How can I kill the creeping Bermuda grass out of my fescue lawn? thanks! |
Wish there were an easy answer! Sounds like an odd combination, but since bermuda is a warm season grass and fescue is a cool season grass; bermuda is often overseeded with fescue so the lawn stays green all year around. Getting one grass out of another is not easy. There's really no product you can use to kill off the bermuda and not harm your fescue lawn but if you dig out the bermuda now you can apply a pre emergent herbicide to keep new bermuda grass seeds from sprouting in your turf. CONCERN Weed Prevention Plus and Scott's Turf Builder and Lawn Pro are corn gluten meal based pre emergents. |
