I bought a hanging fern plant for inside, and it's looking pretty brown. I've been following the instructions, so I'm not sure if there's anything I can do to save it. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

I'm not sure whether your Angel fern is a Sword Fern (Nephrolepis exaltata) or a Maidenhair fern (Adiantum). Either can summer outdoors in a brightly lit but shady area. Sword fern is evergreen but maidenhair fern tends to rest during the winter months so it will have not foliage if you keep it indoors during the winter months. Both plants thrive with high humidity and moist soil. If your plant is turning brown it may be suffering from hot, dry air and lack of sufficient water. Try setting it outdoors in a shady spot and sprinkling it with a hose every morning to wet the foliage. Be sure to keep the soil moist but not soggy wet. Hope your fern recovers!
