Answer: Persimmon trees are quite adaptable and as long as the soil drains well (doesn't remain soggy), your tree should be happy in a container. Be careful when you feed a containerized plant - too much fertilizer can burn the leaves. When you feed your persimmon, use a water soluable fertilizer such as Miracle Gro and dilute it to half strength. Feed every 4 weeks during the growing season. It may be that you overfed your plant or you are overwatering. Either can cause browning tips on the leaves.
