My tomato plant is bearing fruit. What can be done to ward off insect pests?

Now that your tomato plant is flowering and bearing fruit you'll want to be careful about any insecticides that you use. You can kill off pollinating insects if you apply insecticides, which will result in fewer fruits. The best defense is to inspect your plants frequently and handpick any insects or caterpillars you see before they can do any damage to your plants.
