My tomato tree will not set fruit. List the ideal growing conditions for me please. |
The tomato tree, Cyphomandra betacea, is from Peru. It grows well in greenhouses where the temperature and humidity can be kept high. In a garden setting, give the plant full sunshine and ample water. Mist the leaves occasionally to imitate a rainforest. The fruits are usually stewed and made into a jelly (they're rich in pectin), but they can also be eaten fresh. |
