The Q&A Archives: eating blossoms

Question: something is eating the blossoms on my impatients-even in the baskets. Any suggestions how to get rid of whatever it is?

Answer: I'd inspect the plants for caterpillars or baby slugs or snails. Check the undersides of the leaves and down near the soil surface. Baby slugs or snails can be controlled with the iron based bait called Sluggo. Caterpillars can be controlled with Bt (sold as Dipel). Good luck with your garden!
