holes in leaves - Knowledgebase Question

my hops plants and a few of my roses have holes in the leaves, their is no visable sign of pests, what should I do

Holes in leaves can be caused by lots of different insect pests and sometimes they do their damage and then move on so you never get to see them, you only see their damage. No amount of insecticide will control a pest that isn't there! I'd continue scouting for pests. If you find them, have them identified and then choose a control specific to those pests.
