| I don't think there is a comprehensive list of "self-cleaning" plants, but here are some that do not need deadheading: Ageratum ?Artist? ? will ?bury their dead? (this simply means the new flowers will quickly cover the old flowers) so no dead heading is necessary. This is not true of other series of Ageratum; Angelonia ?Angelface?; Argyranthemum ? removing old blooms may improve appearance, it's not necessary; Aster ?Sapphire?; Bidens; Bracteantha ?Sundaze?; Calibrachoa ?Superbells?; Diascia ?Flying Colors?; Gaura ?Stratosphere? and ?Karalee?; Geranium ?Jolly Bee?; Gypsophila ?Festival Star? ? It should continue to bloom without dead-heading but removing old blooms may encourage additional blooming. With any Baby?s breath the more you use as a cut flower the more the plant branches and re-blooms; Lamium ?Pink Chablis?; Lantana ?Tropical Fruit?; Leucanthemum ?Broadway Lights? ? Deadheading isn?t necessary but removal of old blooms may improve the appearance of the plant; Lobelia; Nemesia; New Guinea Impatiens; Osteospermum ?Soprano? and ?Symphony? ? ?bury their dead?; Oxalis; Petunia ?Supertunia? ? self-cleaning, this is not necessarily true of all Petunias. You may want to remove old blooms of ?Supertunia? doubles since these larger flowers sometimes remain on the plant. Leaving them will not affect flowering; Pulmonaira, Sanvitalia, Scaevola, Stachys, Torenia ?Catalina?? and ?Summer Wave? ? self-cleaning; Verbena ?Babylon?, ?Tukana?', and ?Superbena' - self cleaning.
