Is there a certain type of lawn seed I should get to reseed a patch of yellow section on my front lawn. I was told to get a specfic kind for the summer since I have tall fescue.

Established tall fescue lawns tend to thin out and become clumpy, and they may need periodic reseeding every three or four years. You should be able to find tall fescue seeds to reseed the area. Just rake out the dead areas, sprinkle a little compost into the area and broadcast your seeds. Keep the area moist and the seeds should sprout in 7-10 days.
