The Q&A Archives: my little trees are dying

Question: hi, yesterday I send a mail to you ( including three pictures. I did not get reply.right now my little Emerald Green Arborvitae trees are dying, I need to know if anyway to rescue them.
more water? more food?
Thanks a lot!

Answer: I'm not sure where your message went or when you might get a reply but here at the Q & A forum we do our best to answer questions within 24 hours. We cannot receive photos, though, so I'm at a disadvantage here. Arborvitaes need fast draining soils and they should be watered deeply once each week. If they are newly installed they may be going through a little transplant shock. If they have been in the ground for several months or more, the roots should be established. Don't feed your arborvitates while they are stressed. Instead, just make sure the soil drains quickly and simply water them deeply once each week. Wish I had more to offer!
