I have yellow sweet peppers and green bell peppers growing in my garden. both are less than a foot tall, but have plenty leaves. I have about 10 of them. Each one only has one pepper and the green peppers are growing with black strips on them. What does this mean and how can I fix it?

Black stripes are perfectly normal on green bell peppers. You'll also find black areas along the stems and especially where the branches come off the main stem. It's natural and nothing to be concerned about. Peppers grow slowly if the weather isn't warm enough or dry enough to suit them. Hope your plants develop lots more peppers!
