I had an infestation of Japanese Beetles this year which seemed concentrated on my Dahlias and (2)Kwanzan flowering Cherry trees which I planted this year. What is the best treatment and will they be back next year?

Japanese beetles can be a tough pest to control. For sprays I'd try insecticdal soap or a product called whole neem oil. This is different than the Bioneem in that it is a stronger concentration of this organic spray. Look for these controls in your garden center. Japanese beetles are cyclic and they will probably return next year. Even if you rid your yard of the adults and larvae this year, new pests will fly in from neighboring yards. Good luck with your eradication project!
