I bought 3 Aztec Lily (Sprekelia formosissima) bulbs from Burpee this spring, planted them and green leaves appeared very quickly, but no flowers. It has been about 3 months now that I have been growing them in my greenhouse. What should I do?

I suspect your Aztec Lilies may be slightly off schedule. (This often happens with newly purchased bulbs.) Usually they are potted in late winter for flowers in summer as the new leaves develop, so it may simply be too early to expect flowers yet. Try to keep the bulbs growing vigorously until they begin to yellow this fall, at which point they should be dried off and kept cool (say about 45 to 50 degrees) until late winter. Next year you will have better control over the timing. Good luck with them -- they are lovely!
