Lobelia loves shade and should grow nicely in hanging baskets. Be sure they need water before automatically watering them everyday. While hanging baskets can dry out quickly, they may not need to be watered daily. If the soil remains too wet it can actually suffocate the roots. To encourage new growth cut your plants back by about one third. Then adjust your watering and they should perk up. Hope it's soon!
