I live in San Diego and I have small white butterflys attacking my plants. They are leaving small worms that are eating the leaves. I think they are called pieris rapae Is there a way to kill these without pesticides?

You can use a product called Dipel or Thuricide to kill caterpillars. It is a bacterium that controls caterpillars but won't harm beneficial insects, people or pets. Be sure to apply according to label directions.
