Had to downsize, living in an appartment where balcony faces west. What is best to consider for this fall & next spring |
Nearly all flowering annuals and perennials will adapt to growing in containers so you should not be limited in what you can grow. Just choose plants that enjoy sunny exposures, use containers with adequate drainage holes and fill them with moistened potting soil. Feed every 2-3 weeks during the growing season with a half strength dilution of water soluable fertilizer and water them as needed and you should be able to enjoy a beautiful container garden. Mums are always popular for fall color. You can also grow ornamental cabbage and kale this fall, as well as pansies, stock, and primroses. Enjoy your garden! |
