Answer: They should thrive in full sunshine and well amended soil. Water deeply twice a week when the weather is hot, once a week when temperatures begin to cool. If some of the leaves are turning brown because of insect damage, just cut them off at soil level. It sometimes takes a garden a full season to settle down and become more productive. Just be patient with your plants and they will eventually grow large and have lots and lots of flowers. Best wishes with your garden!
