Bought Euonymus microphylla (codeTHDA2184) and planted this spring. Now 4 of the 5 are dropping most of their leaves. What should I do?

Water stress is probably causing the leaves to drop. Too much water can oversaturate the soil and drive out oxygen - which could suffocate the roots; too little water can stress a plant enought to drop its leaves. Check the soil moisture level. Water throughly then wait 3-4 days and dig down near the root system to see how moist the soil is. Water more if needed - less if the soil is remaining too wet. Hope your euonymus shrubs perk up soon!
