The Q&A Archives: Dracaena Marginata too tall

Question: I have a pot with several dracaena marginatas that I have had for several years. One is too tall, its touching the ceiling. I would like to cut it low such that new shoots come out the sides below the cut. I would also like to try and root the cutting. I tried this with another dracaena marginata in the same pot, and it did not work, no new shoots grew, and none of the cuttings rooted. Advice?
