| i bought a pack of mint seeds. i believe it was spearment or cat mint....but definitly nothing with lemon (such as lemon balm)! When the leaves are bruised they smell nothing like mint,but more like lemon? Is that normal? |
| I think that immature leaves can have a clean, astringent smell, a little like lemons rather than mint but as the leaves mature they should smell like mint when they are crushed. I think only time will tell what kind of mint your mint seeds are producing. Very interesting! |
