The Q&A Archives: Fall Fertilizers

Question: W/F plus- Which is the best? When to apply? Thank you.

Answer: Any fertilizer with a low nitrogen (first number) and high phosphorous and potassium content will make a good fall fertilizer. Phosphorous and potassium will help encourage healthy roots and stems rather than encourage top growth. You can apply in late October or early November. Best wishes with your landscape!
