The Q&A Archives: tomatos

Question: Is it okay and how would I be able to Topping my tomato plant? I dont know if it makes a difference but its in a topsy turvy holder.

Answer: You can pinch out the growing tips of all the stems to keep the plant from getting much larger but if you do, it won't develop new flowers or set new fruits. But, if it is getting way too large for the growing area, you can slow or stop the growth by pinching or cutting it back.
