The Q&A Archives: PRUNING

Answer: You can easily groom coreopsis by cutting off all of the spent flowers (and their stems). If you do this early in the spring, new stems and flowers will appear. If you cut everything back in mid-summer, you get a second flush of bloom. Prune your coreopsis all the way down now and new foliage and flowers will develop before fall arrives. Enjoy!
