The Q&A Archives: Yellow Wax Beans

Question: My husband and I have always had the pole variety of the yellow wax beans. In the past few years we haven't been
able to find the seed anywhere. The only seed available seems to be the bush variety of the yellow wax bean. I
recall that we bought the pole variety from Burpee some years ago. Do you still carry it? If not, where can we
find the seed?

Answer: Yellow wax pole beans are available from: Johnny's Selected Seed, Foss Hill Rd., Albion, Maine 04910-9731 (207) 437-4301. The variety is called 'Goldmarie'. The same variety is also available from: Territorial Seed Company, P. O. Box 157, Cottage Grove, OR 97424 (541) 942-9547.
