The Q&A Archives: Camellia sudden death

Question: My late blooming pink camellia has suddenly turned brown. Leaves are not falling and no pest is visible. Help

Answer: There's obviously a root problem but I can't even fathom a guess without inspecting the root system of your plant. You may want to dig down and look for mushy roots (root rot), gopher or other critter damage, or even girdled roots (circling round and round). Wish I could offer more suggestions!
