Dallisgrass forms dense, dark green clumps in all types of lawns. Each of its seeds is fertile, so it's very important that you remove the seed stalks as soon as they start to form. They develop really quickly, so that may mean mowing every 4 days during the summer. You can spot treat with glyphosate (Round Up) or use a product such as Bayer Advanced All-in-One Weed Killer for Lawns (available in Ready-to-Use and liquid concentrate formulas). This product kills broadleaf and grassy weeds in one easy step without harming the existing lawn. Be sure to apply according to label directions.
