Help! We have oak tree spouts and wild rye in our
grass. I am beginning to get control of the rye, but is there anything that
will kill out and stop the
oak sprouts? There are several oak trees in the yard and some are worse
about having sprouts come up.

I wish there were an easy and permanent fix, but as long as you have oak trees, you'll have to deal with suckers emerging from the roots of the oaks. And, unless you carefully rake or vacuum up the acorns each year, you'll have lots of new little trees sprouting each spring. There is a product called Suckr Stopper that works somewhat so you might want to give that a try.
