The Q&A Archives: Grass

Question: I am getting long patches of yellowing in my yard . Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You

Answer: A couple of things come to mind - if you've recently fertilized your lawn, you may have missed some places; your sprinklers might not be delivering enough water to those patches, or there may be grubs feeding on the roots of your lawn. Dig up part of an affected area and look at the roots. Fat grubs on the soil surface or hanging on to the roots indicate a need for an application of GrubEx or similar product. Hope this helps you determine just what might be going on with your lawn.
