The Q&A Archives: where should i put them

Question: i purchased tropical house plants.i had to repot them when i purchased since the roots were coming out bottom. i've been keeping them on the side patio. why are they not growing? should i bring them into the house for a better climate control?

Answer: If you recently repotted your new plants they are probably busy becoming adjusted to their new containers and their new places on the side patio. They may not put out any new growth for another 3-4 weeks. Once the roots become established you should see new growth. In the meantime, I'd just leave them where they are so they won't have to make another adjustment to the light and temperature conditions. Just be patient with them!
