The Q&A Archives: shasta daisies

Question: my shasta daisies have blooms on them that have turned black. leaves still green. are they dying?

Answer: If the flowers themselves have turned black, prune them off the plant, along with the flowering stem. They can develop a fungus if the weather has been rainy or it you water from overhead. The best approach is to prune them off. I'm sure your plant will be just fine.
