bought about 2 to 3 weeks ago...it is shedding clusters of leaves at an alarming rate...whatdo I do? and would you know what is the matter?

It must be alarming to see the leaves falling off your umbrella plant! The most common reasons for this behavior is a change in growing conditions (heat, cool drafts, change in light intensities, even transplant shock). Overwatering is another common cause. Be sure to allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings. At this point there's not much you can do other than just allow your plant to adjust to its new growing environment. As soon as it does it should develop healthy new growth. Wish I had more suggestions for you!
