Looking for a vine or climber that will work in a shady area. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, most of the flowering vines prefer at least half a day of sun. You may have luck with a clematis, however, and there are many beautiful cultivars available. Trumpet vine (Campsis radicans) will withstand partial shade, though it won't flower as freely as in full sun. Climbing hydrangea (H. petiolaris) is another option.
