There are lots of ground covers suitable for the site: Ajuga reptans (Ajuga, Carpet Bugle), Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (Bearberry, Kinnikinnick), Sedum, creeping Thyme or creeping Rosemary, or Iberis sempervirens (Perennial Candytuft) are all good choices. Enjoy your garden!
