I live in Salt Lake City. I have noticed this year that my bulbs (hyacynth, tulips, daffodils, etc)are pushing out of the ground. They bloomed nice this spring but I wonder if I should plant them back deeper. We had a lot more rain than normal this year. Also, I know you should split them. Any tips on that process? Thank you, Holly

You can dig and replant the bulbs, and divide them while you're at it. I wouldn't plant them any deeper than normal, though - about twice the diameter of the bulb is a good depth. You'll be able to snap off any little bulblets that have developed on the original bulbs and plant them on their own. Best wishes with your bulbs!
