In your FAQ's you state that it is not necessary to seal clay saucers for a birdbath. I have found that in the house they leak. How can I seal one to prevent water damage to the stand?

To be honest, in my experience, over time the safest and most reliable way to protect your furniture and yet keep the attractive appearance of clay saucers is to line the saucers with clear plastic liner trays (available at many garden centers) and then water carefully so that any overflow doesn't escape the liners. For smaller pots I have found that recycled lids from assorted food containers fit nicely and are nearly invisible.
