If the yellow leaves are sporadic and throughout the shrub, especially towards the inner parts, it's perfectly normal. Hibiscus retains its leaves for a while but then sheds them in favor of developing healthy new foliage. If the yellowing leaves are the new growth rather than the old, it can indicate a need for iron, fertilizer, or a sign of over or under watering. Feed your hibiscus with a time release 20-20-20 and be sure to water deeply, but allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings. Best wishes with your hibiscus!
