The Q&A Archives: What do i do to plant a tree in a fiberglass pot with no holes?

Question: We just came home with a 19-inch fiberglass pot with no holes, and we want to plant our ilex trees in these pots. What should we do? Use gravel? Should we try to drill holes? We are afraid that drilling will cause the fiberglass to weaken and crack (we already saw pots at home depot that were cracked).

What kind of gravel do you recommend if gravel is the best route?

Thanks for your help.
