The Q&A Archives: Chrysanthemums

Question: My chrysanthemum blossoms are pretty much spent. Please tell me if it is safe to cut them back and if so, how far.

Answer: You can cut your plants down by one third to one half and there will still be time for them the send out new flowering stems. You should have a second flush of blooms by late November.
