What is the best way to prune back blackberries for next season? Mine are a couple of years old and have produced berries this year.

Pruning blackberries is fairly straight forward: prune out all canes that bore fruit, shortly after harvest. In the early spring, thin canes to about 5 - 7 per plant. Prune side branches on remaining canes to about 12 inches or 12 buds. Enjoy your harvest!
