The Q&A Archives: Forsythias in clay soil

Question: We planted a forsythia bush as well as dogwood, pussy willow, and spirea in a clay bed (in Colorado Springs). We mixed clay-buster and soil additive to break up the clay. Only the forsythia dried up even though it has enough, but not too much, water. Any suggestions as we want to replace it with the same?
