Ornamental corn, sometimes called Indian corn, takes from 85-100 days to mature. Seed takes 4-10 days to germinate in 70F degree soils. It's too late in the season for you plant this year, but you can purchase seeds for next year's crop through: Territorial Seeds, P. O. Box 157, Cottage Grove, OR 97424. Phone (541) 942-9881 They offer two varieties: 'Chinook' and 'Wampum'.
