I have noticed some kind of bug on the leaves of my plants & flowers. The leaves now look like swiss cheese. What is that and how can I get rid of these nasty bugs?

Most insecticides are pest specific and not all insecticides are safe to use on all plants so it is difficult for me to suggest a control. You can try hand picking the pests or hosing them off with a strong stream of water. Or collect a few, place them in a plastic bag and take them to your extension office or well staffed nursery for identification. Once you know what they are, and which plants they are affecting, you can choose a safe control method. Helpful staff can direct you in that respect. Good luck with your flowers.
